I’m Dan, founder of Northstar Pool & Spa, LLC.

Before founding Northstar, I spent over a decade at a national non-profit Disaster relief organization managing operational standards, training, and knowledge resources—ensuring disaster responders nationwide had exactly what they needed. Precision, reliability, and safety were non-negotiable, especially during crises.

When my daughter was born, my focus shifted closer to home. Ensuring the safety of the water she drank, reducing exposure to microplastics and harmful chemicals, and choosing safer cleaning products became essential for my family. I quickly realized that the same diligence applied to our home environment needed to extend to our pool—after all, the largest organ of the body is the skin, and pool water matters.

That realization led me to become a Certified Pool Operator (CPO). For me, mastering pool chemistry and cleanliness wasn’t just about convenience; it was about safety, health, and precision.

I also understand that your pool is a significant financial investment—often equivalent to the price of a luxury sports car.
